Facebook Disappoints With New Diversity Numbers

Facebook has released new diversity data and the results are pretty disappointing. Despite hiring another 2,897 employees over the last 12 months, the company’s overall ratio of male to female employees budged just 1%: 68% vs. 32% this May compared with 69% male vs. 31% female the same time last year, according to the diversity report released in June.

Can You Require Your Employees To Be On Facebook?

Beginning next year, it will be illegal for employers in Oregon to require job applicants or employees to establish and maintain personal social media accounts. The bill, which amended a state law that bans employers from accessing the personal social media accounts of job applicants and employees, was signed into law last month.

Snapchat Debuts Tap To View And Nearby Friends Tool, Boosts Security Features

July 1, 2015

A few months ago, Snapchat’s CEO Evan Spiegel hinted that the app’s hold-to-watch feature was on its way out. As of Wednesday, users no longer need to keep a finger on their screens to view a snap or story. Users can now tap to view content instead. The new feature is one of several product updates Snapchat announced this past Wednesday in a post.
